| Question: | Are there more specific guidelines for submissions? |
| Answer: | You betcha: This one might be obvious, but let's state it anyway -- this is a Christian website, so as such will only accept stories about the Christian God of the Holy Bible. The purpose for this site is to identify, share and celebrate the presence of God in our everyday lives. Stories submitted should reflect this purpose. Stories should be personal, and told in first-person. Please don't post stories that you find elsewhere on the internet, or from an email someone forwarded to you. Please don't simply post links to existing content on the web. The whole point of building this site was to create a place for content that didn't exist before. If your story involves using the names of people, please either get their permission or use a pseudonym. StoriesAboutGod.org is not and cannot be responsible for maintaining the privacy of anyone as a result of a story posted here. This is not the place to discuss politics, air grievances, discuss creationism vs. evolution, etc. There are plenty of places already on the internet to do that already. Please use them. So in general, we'll look to the Bible and Phillipians 4:8: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. |
