by: Robert I already told you, didn’t you listen? --------------------------------- My wife and I pulled up to the Doctor’s office building in anticipation of learning if we are having a boy or a girl. I had my camcorder ready and asked my wife, “Well, what do you think we are having?” She said, “Hmm, I dunno, a boy?” I didn’t know either. My guess was a girl, but I felt equally about us having a boy. It really didn’t matter, the child will be showered with love nonetheless, but it is fun to speculate. Several months ago, I had a vivid dream of my wife and I with our child. She was a beautiful little girl, only several months old. I was filled with awe knowing this was my daughter whom God had given me to raise knowing Him. When I awoke, I was still in a state of bliss, but I didn’t get the message. That happened later. As my wife lay on the table, the doctor asked us if we wanted to know if we are having a boy or girl. We obviously said we did. She moved the wand to the revealing area, mind you our child had its legs spread wide open - no decency, and revealed to us that we were having a little girl. Needless to say, we were quite thrilled. As we drove home, we talked about having a little girl and how we didn’t really have a clue what we were having before we found out. Then something hit me and I heard that inner voice that we Christians know is God speaking to us. He said, “Don’t you remember, when you came asked me? I already told you, didn’t you listen?” My mind went back to the dream I had that night. You see, as a Christian, I don’t always trust God as much as I ought to. He always hears our prayers and answers them. That night I asked God, what are we having, is it a boy or girl, can you tell me? I didn’t think God would tell me, but that night I dreamt of a baby girl. The day I found out, we were having a baby girl, God spoke to me and reminded me what He had shown me and that He can be trusted.
