Message: by: Robert Do not fear child, you belong to the Son of God. --------------------------------- When God draws you nearer to Him, you realize more about yourself that you really don’t want to be faced with. I, like all of us, am a sinner. I have spent hundreds of hours studying the Bible, learning some Hebrew, learning to speak and read Greek, reading commentaries and participating in theological debates. The more I learn, the more I know that because of what I have learned and because of what I do, I am the worst of sinners. You may feel the same, because we know what is right and we know what is wrong and yet, at times, we fail to act as if we do. One such evening, I found myself in despair, seeing my sinful self and knowing more of the sins I have committed. Such guilt for crimes against God came upon me as if I was buried under 2000 tons of boulders. That night, I feel asleep begging God for forgiveness and help to repent of my sins. That night He came to me. I was gathering belongings from our old house as the soldiers broke in through the doorway. I quickly escaped. I came to a hill and looked down to see a city in ruins. Another city several miles away was being attacked by planes dropping bombs on it. Seeing as the city below looked safe, I walked down the hill past a few people deserting the city. A building stood infront me, one story, slightly war torn. Two men were kneeling at the side of the building with their backs to the building and their heads down. They wore sackclothe and looked as if they were praying. Behind them, on the building, were hundreds of pictures of people’s faces. As I looked among the pictures, I saw my face. The two men looked up and at me. Without moving his mouth, one said to me, “Do not fear child, you belong to the Son of God.” With great comfort, too great to express, I walked past them, along side the building. I came to the corner of the building and at the corner was the entrance to the building. The door was open and a man, inside, walked past the doorway. Curious, I stayed and watched. The man appeared again, this time changed. He wore a clothe like robe that was a brilliant white. His hair was like white wool. His feet and calves were like bronze. And His eyes, I will not forget, they were like fire. His face had an expression, looking out to the world, of saddness and anger. It was then that I woke up and felt such great comfort from the dream Jesus had given me. If we listen, He speaks to us everyday. The time is at hand and His return is soon. Gracious and loving is our God. Robert Evans is a freelance web designer for Churches and Ministry organizations in his spare time.
