Glory In the Fast Lane

by

...the back truck started to reel out of control

Everyday God shows me His wonders and answers prayers in ways that make me smile.  I am thankful for the times He gives me to share His glory with my family.

My family travels every day - especially my husband.  Every morning I say a prayer for safe travel, but that morning when I said my usual prayer I added “Please - help my husband to make the right decisions if something happens”.

That night my daughter asked if her Dad had told me what had happened.  It turns out that while he was on one of the busiest highways in his delivery truck he noticed two trucks extremely close to each other.  He questioned it and realized that one was being towed by the other, just at that moment the back truck started swerving going at speeds over 65 MPH.

I know that God was there for him because as the back truck started to reel out of control it began shaking the front truck.  The back truck separated and turned completely around and was now facing him in the passing lane.  The second truck practically did the same thing and came to rest facing him on the driving lane.

In a matter of seconds he drove between them, as did the others that were right behind him. He said it was a miracle that no one was hurt or killed. As I looked at my husband and said “Thank you Lord” and exclaimed that we had just experienced a “God story”.

He didn’t want to admit it, but I know that the Lord was speaking to both of us - confirming that my Lord is real and wanted me to share His reality with my husband and family.

Interesting how ‘close calls’ can really be ‘wake-up calls’. God got his message thru, amen.
