I’m eighteen years old, basically living on my own. I’m in a 10 month long program called The Movement similar to Bible College. It’s been a crazy roller coaster ride and God has really honored the leap of faith I’ve taken.  I’m the typical poor student. Sometimes I eat the chewable muti-vitamins for a snack. Anyways, it’s the little things like this, that have really brought me closer to God.

Sometimes when I prayed, I’d ask God for financial help. I then came to the realization that God wants me to be specific, he wants to give me exactly what I need because he loves me that much! I prayed for a pair of nice boots, that weren’t black, just a pair of shoes that will look good with anything, even formal clothing.

The next day, I was walking in a parking lot and I saw a lady sorting clothing that was about to be shipped off to a homeless shelter. The lady sorting all the clothing was carrying lots of stuff so I offered to help her. After chatting a bit, she opened up a big Tupperware container full of shoes. She knew students in The Movement were poor and… you probably guessed it… she asked me if I wanted a pair of shoes! I searched through the Tupperware container and pair of brown leather shoes, perfect fit. Wow God. Not just free shoes, but real leather. These will last me a lifetime! God always provides in excess!

And the best part? Any time someone comments on my shoes I have this awesome God story to tell!
