God Made Me a Promise

by Stephanie

I wish that I could explain what I felt that day because I have never felt anything like it except the day that I accepted Christ as my personal savior. But God didn’t stop there. My husband then had a dream he said he believes was from God. He said in the dream we had a little girl who was barely able to walk, and her name was Alexia. This name means “defender”. We had never heard this name, but we have decided that when our daughter arrives she will be named Alexia Grace.

It has been several months but God keeps working. I have had 5 periods on my own. I ovulated on my own last month, and I believe it won’t be long until I will be pregnant.

A few Sundays ago I was feeling down, and during church I prayed that God would send me some encouragement. The preacher got up to give his sermon, and he said I will be preaching out of Hebrews today. Starting with Chapter 11 Verse 11 (Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.) Now that is what I call an answered prayer. That was God reassuring me of the promise he made me on December 20th, 2006.

God made me a promise, and I am proclaiming to the world he keeps his promises and her name shall be Alexia.  Stephanie

Stephanie, to you, may Alexia be on her way. As God preps the soil, tils the ground (womb) and watches for the perfect season, may new life be born in you.

From a child that was born and abandoned, yet adopted by a woman who could not have a child on her own, I come before God on bended knee and ask in his presence that Alexia be the bit of Heaven you will behond upon this earth. Defender of all that is just and merciful, another queen to come from his Kingdom.

Amen.
