God’s Money Market Game

by

His money went from hand to hand, full circle, blessings being multiplied each time it was touched.

Recently, Cathyrn, a Bible Study friend, slipped into my hand a hundred dollar bill. She said she had given something away, as unto the Lord, wanting it to be a blessing, but then the recipient had unexpectedly insisted on paying her.  So, her gift to the Lord had come back and now she was passing it on again, wanting it to be a blessing.

I was blessed by the gift - but uncomfortable - not knowing what I should do with money that obviously belonged to God.  So, I put the money in the bank and waited for God to show me when and where to pass it on.

In the meantime, a new acquaintance became in immediate need of finding another apartment or house because the mold in the one she was in was making her sick.  Her search was severely limited by her small budget.  An ideal rental property became available right at that time but the rent, set as low as possible to cover the landlord’s expenses only, was still more than she could afford.

When several people offered to help subsidize the rent, the way began opening for her to move into the well-maintained duplex that was so much more than she had dared to hope for.

When I asked how much more was needed to make this dream come true for her, what joy it was to hear, “A hundred dollars would do it.” And what fun there was in writing a check and delivering it to the new landlord – who turned out to be Cathryn!

God had to be enjoying seeing this game play out as His money went from hand to hand, full circle, blessings being multiplied each time it was touched.
