A series of pure coincidences...I think NOT.
I start-off in admittance I am not the best of Christians. However, I do know that my ultimate goal is to become closer to GOD. It has been quite a slow process for me, but one that I haven’t given up on. I feel compelled to share my amazing story with all who have the patience to read it.
My story starts with a friend introducing me to a ‘business opportunity’ which would have potentially provided me a share in a nightclub. One night I was sitting in at a meeting with my friend and the nightclub owner, listening in on the details. I left the meeting debating in my head whether this was going to be a right move for me or not. I realized that such an opportunity would be profitable, but it didn’t feel like it matched my personality or beliefs. The temptation was great.
While I was driving home that night thinking about what to do about this opportunity, I observed a van aggressively driving fast and cutting people off. A few minutes later, I was still able to clearly see the van and watched as the vehicle drove (without slowing) through a red light. I witnessed in horror, as another vehicle T-boned the van. Both vehicles were traveling at least full speed limit (60km/hr - Canada). I stopped at the red light and noticed the body of a young female lying outside of the van, seemingly lifeless. She had been thrown out of the middle of the van, likely due to not wearing a seatbelt. I quickly pulled over and called 911 as I ran toward the body. Luckily after about 5 minutes, she began to move. I will always remember as I told her to stay still until the paramedics arrived, her blood soaked face and the look of fear in her eyes. Everyone else involved in the crash seemed to be alive as well, although very injured. It was truly a miracle the girl thrown from the vehicle even survived!
