After I put my faith in the lord, I prayed for many signs that he was there with me - these signs came. So, when I had full trust in God, I prayed to him during a very hard time in my life.

My sister was addicted to drugs, and I knew it was killing her. One day, she thought she was clever and decided to mock God infront of me, by blaspheming directly to him. I was horrified, and cried to God about it, pleading for her mercy.

My sister had not always been like this - before she became addicted to drugs, she had been very loving and caring. So, I prayed to God for her, saying something along the lines of “Please help her lord, and forgive her. Help her change her ways and I will eternally be grateful.”

Anyway, a few days later, my uncle found my sister very ill in bed. She was taken to hospital where the doctors said she had had a massive overdose - if he we had found her an hour later, she’s have been stone cold dead. It seemed by sister had been very depressed, which explained why she had turned to drugs in the first place.

The doctors said my sister was not out of the woods yet, though, and she was critically ill. They said the next 24 hours were crucial.

Again, I cried and prayed to God, and said something like, “PLEASE help her survive lord, I’m begging you! please!” Miraculously, my sister survived and I thanked God every night for a week.

When she was well enough to come home, she had been scared out of taking drugs and hasn’t returned to them since. Her depression was sorted out and ever since then, I have loved God with all of my heart and will never forget what he did.

To all those who don’t have faith, DO! The lord is always there, willing to forgive sins, and willing to help at any given time.
